Thermocol cake dummies are lightweight foam blocks shaped like cake tiers  (round, square, heart, etc.). In India, “thermocol” is the common name for polystyrene foam used in packaging and crafts.

They are designed to look exactly like real cakes once decorated, but are completely non-edible.
